Salary Details
The stipend for apprentices will be as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, and Apprentices Rules, 1992/2019, amended from time to time.
- Graduate and Technician Apprentice: Stipend will be paid in two parts, 50% by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) and 50% by IOCL. Candidates must have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for receiving the stipend.
- Trade Apprentice: Full stipend from IOCL.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years (as of July 31, 2024)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 29 years)
- OBC-NCL: 3 years (up to 27 years)
- PwBD: Up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC-NCL)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Trade Apprentice: Matric with regular full-time 2-year ITI (Fitter / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist) course recognized by NCVT / SCVT.
- Technician Apprentice: 3 years’ regular full-time Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized Institute/University.
- Graduate Apprentice / Accounts Executive: BBA / BA / B.Com / B.Sc. – Regular full-time Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized Institute/University.
