Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit
- Hindu Nadar Candidates: 18-43 years (Born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2006).
- Scheduled Caste Candidates: 18-45 years (Born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2006).
Candidates should note that the age limit is inclusive of the relaxation provided as per the general conditions, and no age limit should exceed 50 years under any circumstances.
2. Educational Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- SSLC Pass: Conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala or its equivalent.OR
- Pre-Degree Examination Pass: Conducted by any recognized University in Kerala, or an equivalent examination recognized by the state.OR
- Higher Secondary Examination Pass: Conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Kerala, or any examination recognized by the government as equivalent.
- TTC Pass: Must have passed the TTC (Teacher Training Course) Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
Note: The TTC qualification has been renamed as D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education), and candidates with this qualification are also eligible to apply.
3. Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET)
Candidates must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) specifically for this post, conducted by the Government of Kerala.

- Preference will be given to wives of Jawans in the recruitment process, provided they possess the required qualifications. The term Jawans includes soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishments.

- Candidates with First Class Scouts and Guides credentials will also receive preference during the selection process.
