Vacancy Details
There are currently five vacancies available in Thiruvananthapuram. A separate Ranked List will be prepared for this district, which will remain in force for a minimum of one year. This list will continue until a new Ranked List is published or until three years have passed, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against these vacancies and any future vacancies reported during the currency of the Ranked List.
Special Conditions
- Selection will be made on a revenue district basis as per G.O.(Ms)No.154/71/PD, dated 27.05.1971.
- Candidates appointed in one revenue district cannot transfer to another district until they complete five years of continuous service.
- Current government employees holding this post in any district are prohibited from reapplying but may apply for higher posts when notified.

Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18-36 years of age, born between 02.01.1988 and 01.01.2006. However, candidates from Other Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes are eligible for usual age relaxation, provided the maximum age limit does not exceed 50 years.
Qualifications Required
- Educational Qualification:
- A pass in Form III or Standard VIII (New) or equivalent.
- Experience:
- At least one year of experience as an Electrical Line Helper or Lascar.
Equivalent Qualification:
Qualifications recognized by executive or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to those specified for the post will also be considered. Candidates must produce the relevant government orders declaring such equivalence when required by the Commission.
Experience Certificate
The experience certificate must be in the prescribed format, detailing the nature of the job, duration, and authenticity. The certificate should be verified by the Controlling Officer or Head of Office of the Government.

Examination Details
If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted, candidates must confirm their participation through their One Time Registration profile. Only those who submit confirmation can generate and download their Admission Tickets in the last 15 days until the date of the test. Applications of candidates who do not submit confirmation will be rejected. Details about the confirmation period and the availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination Programme and notified to the candidates.
